The original top on this one was European spruce which can look like Adirondack (as opposed to Sitka) but as was mentioned, Adirondack was not used in the 60's.

True market test:I just sold my 1980 D-12-35 for $1,400 cash. I've always wondered why the Brazilians didn't push easily over the $2000-$2200 mark. Some do, some don't.GREAT slope-shouldered guitar.

CONGRATULATIONS!! Great looking guitar, the figuring in the center on the back almost looks like a pair of wings. Get the neck reset on that pup and you're good to go. You'll have to let us know how...
